I was still a few months away from finding that import copy of "Down By The Jetty" in my local record store in Colorado Springs when this was recorded, but already LOVED Brinsley Schwarz and Ducks Deluxe and along with Dr. Feelgood, they're the holy trio of pub rock. And NONE of it was heard on American radio at all which of course was ruled by the biggest misnomer ever, "classic rock!" It's great to see some live clips finally come out though and when I list Wilko as one of my all-time favorite guitarists and people say, "Who? I now show them the reason and they understand. RIP to all Feelgooders!

Poor Hugh! This is interesting footage, because Jeff (and Kelly?) seem to be singing live, and Richard Tandy's keyboard solo is definitely live too. The rest of the band are miming. The string parts have some very subtle differences to the released version, which suggests they re-recorded the song especially for this semi live performance,without some keyboard parts, most vocals and the orchestral parts. Great to see Jeff, Bev, Richard, Kelly(RIP), Mik, Hugh(RIP) and Mel together. The classic ELO lineup.
